Spirtual Gifts
Read I Corintians 12: 27-31
The Adventure Bible say's Spirtual Gifts "are special abilities the Holy Spirit gives to Christians, given to us for encourging others, teaching others and for giving praise adn glory to God."
over the summer I want to look at 7 specific gifts. Prayer, encourgment, knowing what to say at the right time, listening, searving, leadership, loving personality.
We all contian these gifts, we just have strongsuits. We need to work on our weaknesses and streaghen our stongsuits. We need to work as a team, as a body of christ to witness to others, for God. Read Corintians 12:14-20. Our greatest glory is never falling, but is rising every time we fall.
Lets pray: God, help us to develop these gifts so the world can see You in me. Lord, these gifts are sometimes out of my comfert zone but use me all the more. I love You,

Why am I a christian?
I am a christain because Jesus died on the cross. He had nails pounded into His hands and feet for me and you. Because he loved the people of the world that much. God told us that the payment of sin is death. Jesus' death was a payment for everyone who beleives, in their heart, that Jesus was and is God's son. But not only do we escape an everlasting death in hell, we also are rewarded for believing in God, the Holy Spirit and the son (Jesus). When we die and leave this earth we go to a beautiful, perfact place, Heaven. So I believe in Jesus, and in His ultimite love and I want to share that love with you and help the world come to Christ.
What is worship?
the dictionary says: 1. to honor or reverence as a divine or supernatural power 2. to regard with great or extravagant respect, honor, or devotion. What I am talking about is worshiping God, not just a "supernatural poewer". We can worship in many ways and places. It doesn't have to be extravagant. We can be in a church or mowing the lawn but if we are focusing on God praying to Him, singing to Him, or quoting words from the Bible back to Him we can be worshiping. Worshiping God is also living for Him. We can bless the poor and needy and love them as friends should and be worshiping God. We need to Worship God and be addicted to Him! God tells us to do what Jesus did on earth- He was our perfect example! Chris Tomlin calls himself, like we are, instead of a worship leader because he is worshiping God. He is being in fellowship with God, just in front of others. I would say by doing and saying that Chris is being humble, therefore living as Jesus would and, letting God use him in many ways.
